Vision Calvary Chapel Porterville

This is an article about the Calvary Chapel in Porterville, in Central California. Those of you who know me, or at the very least are acquainted with me, will know that this church is the church I would regard as my home church. (Well at least while I am in California, Glasgow is my real home church!)
The church is pastored by Ryan Ruckman, Ryan used to be a teacher in the local school system prior to taking the leap of faith into going into full time ministry. Ryan is assisted by his father Bob Ruckman also. Bob is a man with a great wealth of experience and was also involved in the previous Calvary Chapel of Porterville.
The church was started as a church plant out of Calvary Chapel of Visalia. This church is pastured by Bob Grenier. Vision still has close links with Calvary Chapel Visalia and special events are attended by members of both churches.
The church has met at a few different places in the City of Porterville. The church started as a home Bible study in Ryan’s house and moved to the local Galaxy Cinema on Henderson. The church now meets at the Veterans Memorial Building at 1900 West Olive Avenue.
Regular weekly services are as follows: (Are held at the Veterans Building unless noted)
- Sunday Morning @ 10am
- Sunday Evening (New Believers Bible study @ My house @ 6pm)
- Tuesday Evening @ 5.45pm (Mid week Bible study)
